Sports forms one of the greatest heritages in the UK where many quarters have come up to claim pioneering different sports which have risen to become world fantasies. Soccer is one of those sports said to have deep roots in the UK although there has always been a great debate. A lot has changed since the last century when sports were taken as an activity for fun and pleasure. UK Sports have risen to become a career for many individuals around the world. All About Sports Profiles

For true sports fans a sport profile is the equivalent of a resume for an interested employer. It has all the information you need to know about an athlete or player. From personal information to professional career, a sport profile is a player’s whole history summed up. And they are more commonly found than you might think. Here are just a few instances where a sport profile is used to introduce or remember an athlete.

When you watch a boxing match and the announcer introduces the opponents, notice how he will mention their title, weight and height. That is just one example of a very condensed version of a sport profile. The function of such sports profiles is to tell you who the athlete is and what they have achieved. Same thing happens when a player gets called onto the field of a soccer match or cricket match. The presenter will tell you who the player is, how many professional matches they have played and mention their achievements. And sometimes they will mention other teams the player has played for in his career.

These are examples where a sport profile is used as a brief, condensed introduction. One of the more in depth sport profiles you might come across is when a sporting channel remembers a player that has retired. Here there will be a bit of discussion about the athlete’s childhood leading up to playing professionally. Along with this there will be flashbacks to teams they have played for, achievements and milestones within their sporting career. (more...)
